• College Board’s Scholarship Search: https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org. Find scholarships, other financial aid and internships from more than 2,200 programs, totaling nearly $6 billion.
• Wal-Mart Associate Scholarships and Wal-Mart Dependent Scholarships - Scholarship applicants must have a 2.5 or higher GPA, be a high school senior and must be employed part-time or full-time with Walmart Stores, Inc. for at least six consecutive months prior to the appropriate application due date (see chart listed on their website). Recipients will receive up to $3,000 in a one-time payment applied to undergraduate tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board . • 2017 Technicians in Residential Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical Scholarship Application-This application is intended for students planning a career as a technician in a business that provides residential service for plumbing, HVAC or electrical. This includes HVAC technicians, plumbers and electrician.
  Scholarships are granted in amounts of $1,000 and $5,000 depending on the quality of the application. Applicants will be reviewed on a 60 day cycle throughout 2017. Click to Apply.

• CIA Undergraduate Scholarship Program – Available for a high school senior who is planning on enrolling in a 4-5 year program that is looking for a career experience in a dynamic environment. Selected students will receive a salary and benefits, and up to $18,000 per year for tuition, fees, and supplies. • Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship - limited to men and women entering their senior year of high school who have at least a B average and participate in at least one school sponsored sport. • Minnesota Sheriff’s Association – Scholarship are only available to students currently enrolled in one of the following three categories 1) mandated POST skills program 2) in the second year of a two-year law enforcement program or 3) in the third or fourth year of a four-year college criminal justice course. 15 - $600 scholarship will be awarded this year. • Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program - High school seniors who intend to pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution, have involvement in co-curricular and community service activities, a minimum grade point average of 2.0 and have a critical financial need. • Barbara J. Penny Community Service Scholarship – This Scholarship is for MnSCU students who have demonstrated a commitment to community service and to promote their growth as community leaders. Students enrolled at a Minnesota community college, state university or technical colleges are eligible to apply – can be PSEO or College in the School courses, and need a 2.5 GPA minimum. • The Ron Brown Scholar Program - Seeks to identify African-American high school seniors who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, exhibit exceptional leadership potential, participate in community service activities and demonstrate financial need. • NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing – This opportunity is available to any US high-school female active and interested in computing and technology. • Prudential Spirit of Community Awards—Minnesota Top Youth Volunteers—Students in grades 5-12 can apply if they have made meaningful contributions to their community through volunteer service in the last 12 months. State Honorees will receive $1,000, an engraved medallion, and an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. • The Anne Ford Scholarship-A $10,000 scholarship ($2,500 per year for four years) given out to high school seniors with a documented learning disability who will be pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree. • The Allegra Ford Scholarship Award—a $2,500 one-time scholarship given out to high school seniors with a documented learning disability who will be enrolled in a two-year community college, a vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with LD. • Fleet Reserve Association Essay Contest – Contest for grades seven through twelve; 350 words or less on “What Memorial Day Means to Me.” They are offering prizes from $75 – $10,000. • University of St. Thomas, Science, Mathematics and Engineering Scholarships: The University is offering two full-tuition and two $8,000 renewable scholarships to students who intend to pursue degrees in the sciences, mathematics, or engineering starting in the fall. • Imagine America Scholarship – for seniors pursuing post-secondary education at a career college. • National Wild Turkey Federation's Academic Scholarship Program - seniors, who have a 3.0 GPA, supports the preservation of the hunting tradition & actively involved in hunting sports, holds a current NWTF membership, is involved in school activities, is a leader among his or her peers and can demonstrate community leadership or involvement. Scholarships range from $250-$10,000. • Mensa Education and Research Foundation Scholarships – any student who intends to be enrolled in an accredited U.S. institution of post-secondary education for the fall term is eligible to enter the scholarship contest. Awards will be made on the basis of an essay of fewer than 550 words that describes the applicant's career, vocational, or academic goal toward which the scholarship is to provide aid. • Washington Crossing Foundation – is offering scholarships to all high school seniors who are U.S. citizens and are planning careers of service to the United States in local, state, or federal government. • MN Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Club: For high school seniors who plan to continue an education at accredited post-secondary college, university or vocational school. Applications will be screened based on appearance, neatness, content, scholastic abilities, extracurricular activities, financial need and correctly following the directions. • Minnesota Supreme Court Historical Society Essay Contest – is offering up to ten $500 scholarships to high school juniors and seniors in Minnesota. Students are asked to address the following question: Given the prevalence of cellular telephones in schools, under what circumstances do you think a school may search a student’s phone? Under what circumstances should a student’s Fourth Amendment right to privacy prevail? Provide examples and reasons for your conclusion. • Healthcare Leaders Scholarship - Students age 17 years or older, GPA 3.0 or higher, accepted or currently attending a nursing or medical related program at an accredited institution. Must submit a 600-1,000 word essay explaining what you hope to accomplish during your career in the medical field and how the scholarship would fulfill those goals. • Marine Option NROTC Scholarship – Students may begin applying in the spring of their junior year. This program offers 100% compensation for tuition, computer lab fees, and textbooks. A household allowance of $250 per month and required uniforms are also included. This program is open to students who are physically qualified US citizens between 17 and 22 working full-time toward a Baccalaureate Degree. The coordinator is Capt. • Minnesota Masonic Charities Scholarships – These scholarships range from $2,500 to $5,000 and can be renewed annually. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. Scholarships are based on merit. • Catch a Break! Scholarship - For seniors or graduates, age 21 and under, a US citizen and resident of Minnesota. • Minnesota Association of Administrators of State and Federal Education Programs (MAASFEP) Scholarship Program - Senior, who was a participant in Title 1 in Elementary or Middle School (formerly called Chapter 1), 2.5 GPA or better. Four $2,000 scholarships. Two other scholarships available through this program; one for someone of Hispanic descent or a career in justice of education. • MASMS Tom Robinson Memorial Scholarship – Sons and daughters of all MASMS (Minnesota Educational Facilities Management Professionals) dues paying members and life members who are graduating seniors, or any eligible post-secondary student, and accepted into any post-secondary school in the United States. Memorial Scholarship Program: $500 awarded annually to MN students who demonstrate initiative, leadership and service to their community and will complete programs in either Firefighting, Paramedics, or Nursing. • Minnesota Women’s Golf Association Scholarship: Each scholarship is for $3,000 per year, renewable for 4 consecutive years, totaling $12,000. The applicant must have an involvement in golf, have a GPA of 3.2 or above and complete the following: 1) application 2) a copy of your high school transcript 3) ACT or SAT scores 4) a copy of your completed FAFSA form. • SMF Foundation Scholarship: This is being offered to children (age 16-25) of parents who have been killed or injured in workplace accidents while working for Minnesota, Iowa, or Wisconsin employers. A qualifying student is eligible to receive up to $10,000 annually through graduation from a two or four year technical school, college or university. • The Lanford Family Highway Worker Memorial Scholars Program –Students who have had a parent injured or killed in a roadway work zone while employed by a transportation construction firm or transportation public agency are eligible for this scholarship. • Minnesota Benefit Association Scholarship – Open to public employees or elected officials or their family members in the State of MN. • Kate Herzog Writing Scholarship Contest – High school or college freshmen can send an unpublished writing sample of less than 1000 words, typed, double-spaced to be considered for the writing contest. • TEACH Early Childhood MINNESOTA: Numerous grants and scholarships available. May be eligible to receive up to $6,000 per year for up to two years of college education through this forgivable loan program. By fall, have high school diploma and be eligible to enroll full-time at a Minnesota state accredited community and/or technical college in an associate’s degree program majoring in early childhood education or child development.
