Princeton High School’s academic program offers students the opportunity to explore interests, strengths, needs, skills, and careers. High school is about learning — learning who you are, what you enjoy, where your passions lie, how you learn, how to study, who inspires you, and what your hopes and dreams are for the future. With 72 trimester class slots, you will have many opportunities to explore and prepare for your future. All students are required to register for 18 credits per year, six courses each trimester.
What You Will Learn
In addition to the academic content of each class, we instill in all students the Habits of a Tiger: critical thinking, positive leadership, effective communication, self-awareness, and empathetic citizenship. Expect to be challenged and supported in your thinking, reflection and growth. Our Multi-Tier System of Supports meet every student where they are at and support their continued academic, social and emotional growth.
Career and College Ready
Our vision at Princeton High School is to equip every student to be career and college ready in a rapidly changing world. Our six Career Academies encourage students to experience high school through the lens of career exploration. Whether your future goals will require a four-year degree, an apprenticeship, associate’s degree or on-the-job training — now is the time to explore a path and make connections with professionals in the field, before you have to start paying tuition to learn. Explore our Online Course Registration Guide
Our interactive Registration Guide allows you to search for classes by Career Academy, academic department, grade level, and college-credit opportunities. Registration begins with course selection in February of each year. Students who move in mid-year will work with their Guidance Counselor to build a course schedule.
Princeton Online MN
Students may choose to supplement their seat-based course schedule with online courses. Students may access supplemental online courses through Princeton OnlineMN. Additional information is available from guidance counselors and the Princeton OnlineMN Coordinator.
Graduation is the Goal
Stay on top of your credits and talk to your Guidance Counselor if you have questions. Any senior who has not fully met the graduation requirements by the end of the last school day of the school year, will not be eligible to participate in graduation exercises of that school year.
Students who are short credits at the end of grades nine, ten, and eleven are encouraged to make up the classes through after school credit recovery or summer school credit recovery.
