District COVID Guidelines

On January 4, CDC updated COVID-19 isolation and quarantine recommendations and MDH followed suit on January 14th updating Close Contacts and Quarantine-COVID-19 guidelines for K-12 schools. Effective January 24, 2022 Princeton Public Schools is adopting portions of the updated CDC and MDH COVID guidelines.

This new guidance requires strict masking adherence. Princeton Public Schools will allow for shorter quarantine/isolation if student/staff member wears a well-fitted, appropriately worn mask. If student/staff member cannot or will not tolerate a mask, then full quarantine/isolation protocol will be required. This decision applies to students and staff that are currently in isolation or quarantine who are on their 6th day, to return starting January 24, if masking and symptom requirements are met. Please contact your building health office for more details if you have quarantine/isolation questions under these new timeframes.

Isolation: If Staff or Student is COVID-19 Positive

Quarantine: If Staff or Student is Exposed to COVID-19

The safety of our staff, volunteers, children, families and our communities is our top priority and therefore we want to communicate what our plan is to mitigate this pandemic. Our goal is to reduce the potential for transmission of COVID-19, and that requires full cooperation among all of us. Please review our Safe Return to In-Person Learning Plan on our Health & Safety page.

Princeton Public Schools will use the following building-level tiers to determine when face coverings will be added to our mitigation strategies due to COVID-19 case rates. See full mitigation plan here.
