Distance Learning 2020-21

Each 3rd-12th grade student has been provided a district-issued chromebook for use during this distance learning period. Students in 6-12 will use Schoology, while students in 3-5 will use Seesaw and Google Classroom on their district-issued device to access their assignments during distance learning.

Each K-2 student will access Seesaw for the primary mode of communication for messages & learning activities for distance learning. These activities will include digital and non-digital activities.  Families should already be connected to Seesaw. Students are encouraged to use online learning tools through family-owned devices when available. Technology use during this time will be optional.  If families do not have a device available for their child, a parent/guardian's mobile phone can be used to access Seesaw for the list of non-digital activities or to connect to Zoom calls.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer device check out at this time.

The district understands that providing students with more access to technology can provide more temptation for students to use technology for distracting activities. Please take a moment and read what Princeton Public Schools is doing to partner with families to protect the digital health of your child. This link includes family screen time contact ideas and information on signing up for GoGuardian Parent which will provide you with more access and control over your student’s school issued device.

All students in 3rd-12th Grade were sent home with their School-Issued Chromebook to allow students access educational resources and connect with their teachers from home. This section will contains information on Chromebook Care, troubleshooting and expectations.
