Bus & Nutrition Information for Back to School

Princeton Families:

Here are a few important deadlines and updates to share with you as we are planning for next school year.

BUSING

If you child needs transportation for the first day of school, you must fill out a new transportation request form in Family Access if you have not already done so.  If your form is not submitted by August 5, 2022 then you may not have busing available for the first day of school.

Visit Family Access to fill out your busing form. If you need assistance with this form, check out this video tutorial.  If you have any questions or if you don’t know your Family Access login, please click the “forgot password” link in Family Access or you may contact your child’s school.

NUTRITION SERVICES

  • FREE School Meals Ending – Congress has decided NOT to extend the pandemic child nutrition waivers for free meals for all during the school year. Please make plans to deposit money into your student’s lunch accounts when necessary. Please see the Logins page on our district website for the link to Web Store/RevTrack to deposit money. You can check your student’s balance through Family Access. All previous balances have been rolling forward for 2 years.
  • Applications for Educational Benefits 2022/2023 – We will need households to electronically complete the Application for Educational Benefits (Free/Reduced Meals Form). With meals no longer being free, this form is vital to complete. District funding is based on households filling this out. This funding pays for many things throughout our district. If you think you qualify, please submit the form. Visit Family Access and click on Food Service, then applications to fill out your benefits form.
  • Special Diet Requests/Modifications – Requests must be filled out each school year. Plan accordingly with your medical professional to have the dietary forms turned into your school’s health office by 9/5/22. Plan your medical appointments soon.
  • Lunch Numbers K-6 – Some elementary students have not punched in their lunch numbers for the last 2 years. Many will struggle with their numbers during the busy lunch time, which will dramatically slow down the lunch lines. Please have your student practice their lunch numbers during the summer. You can find their lunch number in Family Access, click on Food Service, then locate the key pad number.
  • Summer P-EBT plan extension. If you did not apply for benefits during the 2021-22 school year, the USDA has extended the application deadline to September 2, 2022 for families that have not already received summer PEBT benefits. Students must have been enrolled in the last month of the 2021-22 school years.
  • If you have any questions feel free to reach out to nutrition@isd477.org.

Thank you for reviewing this important information. You may contact your school if you have any additional questions. Please expect further back to school information in the coming weeks.

Thank you,
