Dear Princeton Public Schools Community,
Our Superintendent, Ben Barton, has accepted the position of Superintendent of the School District of Onalaska in Wisconsin and will step down at the end of this school year. This move allows him to be closer to his family, a priority we all understand and respect. While we will certainly miss his leadership, we are grateful for all he has done for Princeton Public Schools.
Since joining us in 2018, Ben has played a key role in strengthening our schools and expanding opportunities for students. Under his leadership, we’ve seen the development of initiatives like Tiger Career Academies, helping students explore career paths and gain real-world experience before graduation, and Tiger Care, our school-based health center that makes healthcare more accessible for students. His commitment to innovation and student success has shaped the district in lasting ways.
Most importantly, Ben has always led with heart. His dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for students, staff, and families has made a real difference in our schools. We are truly grateful for his leadership and the positive impact he has had on our community.
We are committed to finding the right leader to continue Princeton’s progress, and we will seek community input in the search for our next superintendent. Your voice will be an important part of this process, and we’ll share details soon on how you can get involved. In the meantime, please join us in thanking Ben Barton for his years of service and in wishing him the very best in this new opportunity.
Warmly,
Deb Ulm
President, Princeton Public Schools Board of Education
