Nutrition Services Updates

Welcome Back from Nutrition Services!

Just a few updates as we start the new school year.

  • Summer Meal Program – Our last day for serving FREE Summer Meals at the Primary School is Friday, August 27.
  • Applications – If you have not yet applied for Education Benefits (Free/Reduced Meals Form), please log onto your parent Skyward and complete the form. In addition to free meals, district funding is based on households filling this form out. This funding pays for many things throughout our district. If you think you qualify, please submit the form.
  • Special Diet Requests – New requests must be filled out each school year. Please see the nutrition page on our website for the Special Dietary Accommodations Form to be completed by a medical professional.
  • Supply Chain Update – Last minute menu changes are likely to occur and out of our control due to the nationwide food supply chain issues. Many vendors are already telling us we are likely to continue to see product shortages. Menus on Nutrislice may not reflect these changes. We will communicate any daily changes to building offices and health offices for our students with dietary needs. We appreciate your patience and understanding during the year when these shortages happen.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out to nutrition@isd477.org.

Enjoy your last few weeks of summer and here’s to a happy and healthy start to the school year.
