Nutrition Services Update on Free Meals

Per the USDA and MDE our district has qualified for the extension of free meals for all children ages 1 to 18. We will begin free meal service of breakfast and lunch for all on site school aged students starting Monday, September 14. The USDA has extended this waiver to assist districts and households in feeding kids. This benefit has been extended only through December 31, 2020 or sooner if Federal funds run out. At the point of completion of this waiver all students will be turned back to their normal lunch status. We will inform households when this will happen.

For those households doing hybrid learning, distance learning or with younger siblings at home, we will have pick-up of remote meals starting Wednesday, September 16th at Princeton Middle School. You may pick up your meals from 11:00 am to Noon – Every Wednesday only. Heating and allergens will be located on the Nutrition Services page on the district website. Menus are located on website as well.  Follow the MS/HS Covid Menu

At this time, this is the only means of meal distribution we can provide. Due to food safety concerns sending meals home with students is not allowed.

Last, but not least, this is a friendly reminder to complete your free/reduced meal application for this school year if you have NOT done so already. Even though meals are currently free, they will not always be. The application also helps our district for funding purposes. It is essential that every household fills out the application that would qualify even if you are distance learning.
