ParentPowered Invite for Families

Dear Princeton Families:

At Princeton Public Schools, we recognize and respect that parents and families play an extremely important role in their child’s education, as you are your child/children’s first teachers. We are dedicated to expanding our tools and resources to ensure that all of our students are physically and actively included within the school community. We are proud to be committed to being an innovative leader in instruction, developing in EVERY learner the ability to succeed in an ever-changing world.

In an effort to provide parents and families with easy-to-use tools and resources, Princeton Public Schools is excited to be partnering with ParentPowered. ParentPowered is designed to help schools to cultivate positive partnerships with parents, families, and community. ParentPowered is an evidence based program that provides families with carefully sequenced messages to build key skills, including SEL, math, and literacy. Please watch this 90 second video of ParentPowered to learn more.

What to Expect from ParentPowered:

  • Each week you will receive three short text messages. The messages will give you easy ways to connect with your child and support their learning. The messages will always follow this format: Monday-FACT  Wednesday-TIP  Friday-GROWTH
  • Each message will be sent in your preferred language (as noted in Skyward) and aligned to your child’s age/grade level. In the event that you have multiple children, you will still receive one text every M/W/F that will be designed to meet the various ages of your children.
  • Zero cost for participating. (Data and message rates may apply, according to your data plan.)
  • While these messages are designed to support parents and families, you may opt out of ParentPowered at any time, by simply texting a reply of: STOP
  • ParentPowered is set to launch its first message on Monday, September 30th!

Together with ParentPowered, we believe that when families and schools partner with one another in student learning, we can improve K-12 attendance, cultivate a positive school climate, and ensure that all students have the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you for your continued partnership with Princeton Public Schools.

Please contact our new Parent Partnership Coordinator, Janna Ruzek, if you have any questions.
