Update to P-EBT Benefits

The Minnesota Department of Human Services and the MN Department of Education once again are partnering to issue P-EBT benefits through the state’s SNAP card system. Children who are eligible for free school meals through the National School Free Lunch program are eligible for P-EBT benefits, if the school meets eligibility criteria. To see if your child is eligible for free school meals, please complete the Application for Educational Benefits form through Skyward Family Access.

New this year: Families who chose online instruction or homeschool due to COVID concerns can also apply for P-EBT benefits. Families who think they are eligible must fill out a P-EBT Application for Educational Benefits and submit income verification to the Nutrition Services department. Click here to learn more about the timeline for the issuance of benefits.
