School Board

School board members are elected officials who are charged with governing a school district.  The school board is responsible for leading efficiently and effectively in order to provide equitable education, resulting in high student achievement.

It is the intention of the Princeton School District to make decisions that are in the best interest of all our students, as well as the general population of the school district. To email all board members use email address board@isd477.org.

The Princeton District School Board meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month, except June, July, November and December, when only one meeting is held on the third Tuesday.  Meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. in the District Center boardroom, located at 706 1st Street. District residents are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings of the Board. Special meetings are scheduled as needed.

Each member of the board is assigned to committees for the study and evaluation of a broad variety of issues or recommendations that must be considered and acted upon by the full school board. In order to make proper decisions, Board Members attend many meetings in addition to those regularly scheduled.

Board Meetings & Agendas

The School Board meets twice monthly except in June, July, November and December (when meetings are held on the third Thursday). Agendas are posted three days before the meeting. All School Board meetings take place in the Princeton Schools District Center Board Room, located at 706 1st Street in Princeton, MN.

Members of the public may make comments to the board by signing the citizen's comment roster prior to the start of the meeting. Citizen comments are limited to three minutes. It is recommended that members of the public review the ISD477 policies pertaining to school board meeting rules of order, including policy 206 prior to commenting at a school board meeting.

Student School Board Reps

Ellie Lynch
Ellie is a senior at PHS and an active force both inside and outside of the classroom. She’s involved in cross-country, track, and speech, along with several leadership roles in the Leo Club, Student Council, NHS, E Club, and SADD Club. A nature lover, Ellie spends her free time exploring the outdoors with her dogs.

This is Ellie’s second year serving as a School Board Representative, and she’s eager to continue being a voice for her peers. “This opportunity has allowed me to develop valuable leadership and communication skills,” Ellie says. “I’ve also learned the importance of understanding diverse perspectives, a lesson that will stay with me beyond high school.” Her commitment to advocating for students and bringing new ideas to the board truly shines.

Morgan Mundt
Morgan, a sophomore, is jumping into her first year as a School Board Representative. She’s already making her mark at PHS through her involvement in Cross Country, the Fall Musical, One Act, Track, and various clubs. Outside of school, you might find her at a local coffee shop, running, or sewing something creative.

While this role is still new, Morgan is excited to learn the ins and outs of how our schools run. “I’m looking forward to seeing the community from a new perspective and using what I learn to help lead in Student Council,” she shares. With a dream of becoming an OB/GYN, Morgan hopes this experience will strengthen her skills in communication and teamwork—abilities she’ll carry with her into the future.
