2020-2021 School Year Plans During COVID-19 Pandemic

Decisions for the school year will be made by following the Safe Learning Plan outlined by the State of Minnesota. Our commitment will always be to the:

  • health and safety of students and staff,
  • high quality learning and instruction, and
  • supporting the social-emotional needs of our students and staff.

The Play-by-Play

Starting Wednesday, November 11th we will be changing the process for meal pick up, in order to better serve households that work out of town, ensure program integrity and the changing of the seasons.

Safe Learning Models

In-Person Learning

Similar to a regular school year, students will be in classrooms with assigned teachers. Class sizes will be monitored, and as much space as possible will be maintained between students, and between students and teachers during the day. 

Protocols will be in place for health and safety.

Hybrid Learning

Students will have in-person learning on specified days of the week and distance learning during the other days. The week-long structure will remain consistent. During the in-person days, school facilities and bussing will support a reduced capacity.

Distance Learning

Students engaging in distance learning will have access to appropriate educational materials and receive daily interaction with their licensed teacher(s).

Full-time distance learning includes daily grade-level virtual instruction.
